Water Billing Dates
- Bill due
- 15th
- Payment is due on or before this date each month.
- Late fee
- $30
- The fee is added to any payment made after the due date.
- Cutoff
- 20th
- Service is cut off for non-payment on this date.
- Disconnect fee
- $30
- The fee is charged to any account on the shut-off list.
If you have an extension agreement and the payment is not made as agreed, water is cut off the next day. The form is on the water payments page.
The sewer project
The wastewater system is funded by USDA Rural Development, with a natural pond treatment plant on Bruceville Lane. Follow the project and read the questions residents have asked.
No water, or a leak?
During office hours call the Water Department at 254-859-5700.
After hours, call 254-640-0721.
On-call staff cannot take payments or restore water on a non-payment account. Those are handled by the Water Department during office hours.
Pay on the City website, not a look-alike
Third-party sites such as DOXO advertise that they take payments for the City. They have no permission to do so. They mail the City a paper check, which can take several days or more than a week to arrive and can make your payment late. The City no longer accepts DOXO payments and returns those checks to the customer.

City Council
This one is a special called session, not the regular monthly meeting.
The Council's regular meeting is the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. Special meetings are called as the City needs them, and are posted here the same way.

The brick storefronts and the water tower on Eddy Main Street have stood over the same block since before 1916.

Easter Egg Hunt
The City's egg hunt for families, held on the field each spring, with the Easter Bunny.
Community Night Out
The City, the Police Department and the Volunteer Fire Department set up at the fire station: patrol and fire vehicle displays, traffic-safety information, free popcorn from the City and an outdoor movie after dark.
Operation Blue Santa
The Police Department collects new, unwrapped toys at City Hall, the school district offices and the police station, then families come to the station for a meal with the officers and a gift for each child.
Christmas Tree Lighting
The City lights the Christmas tree, and Santa greets visitors.
