Collection day

Out by 7 a.m. on Tuesday

  1. You can set the container out as early as 6 p.m. the day before.
  2. Leave four feet between containers, keep them within three feet of the edge of the road, and leave six feet clear of cars, mailboxes, meters, poles and fences.
  3. Everything goes inside the green container with the lid closed. Anything outside the container is not collected.
  4. Face the front of the container, the side with the serial number, toward the street.
  5. Bag the contents so nothing spills, and do not overload the container. An overloaded container is not collected.
  6. Different trucks come for different pickups, so service may not finish until 7 p.m.
  7. After a storm or high wind, put the container and its contents back before pickup.

A missed collection

If the container was out by 7 a.m. and clear on every side and it was still not emptied, call City Hall at 254-859-5700 so the City can raise it with Waste Connections.
