Collection day
Out by 7 a.m. on Tuesday
- You can set the container out as early as 6 p.m. the day before.
- Leave four feet between containers, keep them within three feet of the edge of the road, and leave six feet clear of cars, mailboxes, meters, poles and fences.
- Everything goes inside the green container with the lid closed. Anything outside the container is not collected.
- Face the front of the container, the side with the serial number, toward the street.
- Bag the contents so nothing spills, and do not overload the container. An overloaded container is not collected.
- Different trucks come for different pickups, so service may not finish until 7 p.m.
- After a storm or high wind, put the container and its contents back before pickup.
A missed collection
If the container was out by 7 a.m. and clear on every side and it was still not emptied, call City Hall at 254-859-5700 so the City can raise it with Waste Connections.
