Schedule an inspection

Submit the completed application and documents at the counter
Build to the next stage, then stop
Call for the stage inspection before work continues
Repeat through the final inspection

Work pauses at each stage until it passes inspection, and the homeowner or contractor must ask for each one. Call the Building Official's office at 434-848-2962, or Planning and Building at 434-848-0882, once the work is complete to the point of the requested inspection.
