Collects every tax and local fee the County charges, and sells dog tags.
The Treasurer collects real estate taxes, personal property taxes, utility taxes, permit fees, state income and estimated taxes, court, sheriff, and clerk fees, dog tags, and vehicle license fees, and manages the investment of local funds.
Personal property and real estate taxes and vehicle license fees are due December 5 each year. Dog tags are due January 31. These dates move when they fall on a weekend, and the operative date is printed on the tax bill issued in the fall.
