The Board of Supervisors
Brunswick County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors elected by district. The Board appoints a County Administrator, who directs day-to-day operations.

When the Board meets
Regular monthly meetings are held in the Board Room of the Government Building at 228 North Main Street. When the agenda calls for a closed meeting the Board convenes at 5:30 p.m.; open meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Public hearings noticed for a regular meeting are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. or shortly after.

Constitutional Officers
These five offices are elected by the voters of Brunswick County. They answer to the electorate, not to the Board of Supervisors, and they keep their own hours and their own records.

Clerk of the Circuit Court

Deeds, marriage licenses, probate, and every civil and criminal court record.

Commissioner of the Revenue

Property assessment, tax maps, income tax filing help, and the lodging tax.

The County's prosecutor.

Brian K. Roberts
Law enforcement across the County, and the after-hours line for animal control.

Jacqueline Mangrum
Collects every tax and local fee the County charges, and sells dog tags.
Ordinances, plans, and the budget
The Comprehensive Plan, Board Vision 2035, the operating budget notices, and the public hearing schedules are on the document shelf, filed under the office that publishes each one. The County Code itself is maintained off-site by Municode.
