    Why Two Authorities

    The Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County is a joint authority of the City and the County. The Stadium Authority of the City of Pittsburgh is a separate body that predates it and still holds property on the North Shore. Both meet in public, both publish their own minutes and audited financial statements, and their holdings sit on the same blocks, which is why every property page on this site states which one holds it rather than leaving a reader to infer it.
