How the city governs itself
Fairmont is a home rule charter city with a council-administrator form of government. Residents elect a mayor and city council to set policy and the budget, and the council appoints a city administrator to run the city day-to-day.

The mayor and council are Fairmont's elected voice. They answer to the residents who elected them, and you can reach them here or through City Hall.
