Business and Development
Fairmont markets its own industrial park and available sites, and works with regional partners on business retention and expansion.
Available Buildings and Sites
Available buildings and sites are listed through the LocationOne economic development database, searchable by site or building.
Industrial Park
The Fairmont Industrial Park sits on the west edge of the city, most lots fully served with sewer, water, storm sewer, blacktop road, curb and gutter, and natural gas, with rail access on some lots. It is home to Avery Weigh Tronix, ADS Hancor, Tri County Industries, Kahler Automation, Kenway Engineering, Hog Slat, and K & W Electric.
Approximately 69 acres, both platted and unplatted, zoned I-1 Light Industrial and controlled by the City of Fairmont, 1.5 miles from Interstate 90.
Permits and Licenses
City permits and licenses run through a single forms library, and the city-owned utility handles new electric, water, and wastewater service.
