Renovations at the Northwest Transportation Center were completed in November 2024.  Pace received Rebuild Illinois funds to complete upgrades to the transit facility.  The Northwest Transportation Center Project included the demolition of the former Schaumburg Post Office and the renovation of the existing facility, which improved ADA accessibility and expanded capacity at this major transit center along the I-90 corridor, where Pace can utilize the Illinois Tollway Flex Lanes.

The new and fully accessible ADA Paratransit Service transfer facility offers a comfortable, indoor waiting area with passenger and operator restrooms. The transit center includes an expanded drop-off area and new Pace branded signs with real-time bus departure information. Pedestrian access is  provided from Mall Drive and Kimberly Drive to the bus terminal, and parking capacity will increase from 192 spaces (6 ADA) to 301 spaces (8 ADA) to support the popular I-90 Express services. Other improvements include landscaping and site furnishings, seating, Ventra ticketing, and digital and audio bus arrival information.

The I-90/Barrington Rd Station includes a 170-space park-n-ride lot and two "inline stations" (one in each direction) which allows express buses to pick up riders without exiting the highway. A pedestrian bridge over the tollway and two tunnels passing beneath ramps allow commuters to access eastbound and westbound buses with ease. The south side of the station features a transfer location to local Pace services. Newly constructed bike paths and sidewalks connect Pace passengers to adjacent jobs and residences. Pace Routes 603, 605, 607 and 610 serve the inline stations.
