Matching gifts
Did you know that you can double your donation to Fulfill?
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from employees’ spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match. If you volunteer with us, your company may also offer a volunteer grant program.

Donate food
Fulfill always needs a variety of canned, packaged and nonperishable foods — please no perishables — to feed more people as efficiently as possible.
Most needed items
- Canned tuna, chicken & salmon
- Pancake mix and syrup
- Soups (Suggestions – chicken noodle, chicken & rice, beef vegetable)
- Ready-to-eat canned meals (Suggestions: chili (bean, chicken, beef), stew (vegetable, chicken, beef), ravioli (cheese, beef), chicken w/rice & vegetables, spaghetti & meatballs)
- Hot cereals (Suggestions: oatmeal, steel-cut oats, farina, muesli)
- Cold cereals (Suggestions: Toasted O’s (original or honey nut), bran flakes, corn flakes, shredded wheat, brown rice, Grape-Nuts, Special K, Fiber One cereals, Cascadian Farms cereals, Kashi cereals)
Please remember, no glass containers.

We run as a well-oiled machine so food donations are sorted and distributed quickly. We accept non-perishable food donations at two locations:

Host a food drive
Food drives not only provide much-needed food for families in need, they are also a great way to raise awareness of hunger here at home. Anyone can run a food and fund drive! Consider running a drive in your neighborhood, at your workplace, school, club, scouting troop, or any other organization. Please be sure to accept monetary donations as well. Fulfill can use these donations to purchase food in bulk and get more food per dollar than if it is purchased at retail supermarkets. For every dollar collected, we can provide three meals.

Register before your drive starts
Fill out the registration form in the kit and email it to vmahon@fulfillnj.org, or mail it to Fulfill, Attn: Valerie Mahon, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753.

Collect food and money
Collect from the most needed items, prepackaged only: Fulfill cannot accept homemade items or glass. Make checks payable to Fulfill, or give through Venmo at @FulfillNJ with your drive’s name in the memo line.

Deliver it to Fulfill
Neptune takes drive deliveries from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no drop-off from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The B.E.A.T. Center in Toms River takes them from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no drop-off from 12:00 to 12:30 PM.
Over 400 pounds (35 to 40 grocery bags) and no way to deliver it? Call 732-643-5802 before your drive to arrange a pickup.
Fulfill weighs every drive and gives you a receipt for your records. Students can earn up to six community service hours per person, per drive, when the drive brings in at least 120 pounds or $120.

Retail food donations
Retailer donations are a great way to show your company’s commitment to our neighbors in need. Fulfill collects food donations from retail and grocery stores that are no longer sellable due to minor damage or a code date. The donated food is inspected for safety, sorted and distributed to pantries or other agencies serving local families in need.
The benefits of participating
- It’s Free – We come to you with our refrigerated truck.
- It’s Tax Deductible – Fulfill is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so you can write off up to 2 times the cost of your donated product.
- It’s Safe – Food donors to Fulfill are fully protected from civil or criminal liability under the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act. Our staff is also trained in food safety and our 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse is HACCP certified.
- It’s Good Business – Unlike selling the food to a secondary market, you are placing the food into a channel that will not compete with your retail sales.
- It Cuts Down on Waste – The product does not go to waste, so your company will cut waste and disposal costs.

A meeting will be scheduled with the store manager, department managers, and receiving personnel to review the program in detail. Fulfill will pick up food in a refrigerated truck on a coordinated day(s) during each week.
