General elections are held each November. Council members are elected at large to two-year terms, and the City Secretary serves as election official.

The City Secretary is the City's election official and answers questions about filing.
Where to vote
Bruceville-Eddy sits in McLennan County and in Falls County. Polling places and sample ballots are set by the county you are registered in, and the City posts the location for each election as the county confirms it.
Standing for office
What it takes to run
A candidate for the Council or for Mayor must be all of the following.
- A citizen of the United States
- At least 18 years old
- Not determined mentally incompetent by a final court judgment
- No felony convictions
- Resident of the state continuously for the previous 12 months
- Meeting any other eligibility requirement prescribed by law for the office
