Economic Development
The Bruceville-Eddy Economic Development Corporation is a sales-tax funded public-private partnership, authorized by the voters under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. The City Council appoints its directors to two-year terms.

Current priorities
What the BEEDC is working on
- Designing and publishing promotional material about what Bruceville-Eddy offers developers and commercial interests
- Supporting and guiding a new comprehensive plan
- Attracting and assisting new businesses so the City and its residents gain economic opportunity
- Helping the Council establish a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone along the east and west sides of Interstate 35
- Helping the Council establish a community park and gathering area
Meetings
The BEEDC holds open meetings each quarter, on the second Tuesday of the second month at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Meetings are broadcast live on YouTube, and community members and prospective developers are encouraged to attend and speak.
