How do I apply for a permit or license?
When Most are same-day at the counter
The burn permit is annual; a building-moving or fireworks permit goes to the Clerk ahead of the work.
The county issues a handful of permits and sells the state's licenses. Each one below says which counter and what to bring.

Annual, from Emergency Management, with a call to Communications before every burn.

Floodplain development permit (PDF)
Required before building in a floodplain; from Emergency Management or your city's floodplain administrator.

Sold at the County Clerk's counter, with the state booklets.

Applications at the County Clerk's counter.

Driver's license renewal
Tuesday to Friday, 9 to 4, by appointment with the Treasurer.
