Every record here traces to a public capture of the DDA’s own sites. Nothing here is invented, and nothing here is current.
How Current This Content Is
Both downtowngj.org and gjcreates.org return a firewall refusal to every automated client. Rather than work around a host that plainly does not want automated traffic, Stoa built these pages from Internet Archive captures of those same pages. Zero requests were made against DDA servers.
The consequence matters: sculpture prices, awards, the exhibit roster, business listings, and staff names are point-in-time and mostly from 2025. Treat every one of them as a demonstration of structure, not as today’s fact.
Records on This Site
- 14 sculptures
- Title, artist, artist’s home city, asking price, award, street number, and artist’s statement, from the Creative District’s Art on the Corner catalogue on gjcreates.org.
- 12 photographs
- Documentary photographs of the sculptures standing on the street, published by the Creative District on its own site. Photographs by Sarah Dishong. Each file is bound to its source, acquisition time, and exact hash in the proposal’s media manifest.
- 451 businesses
- Name, category, street number, and description, from the DDA’s own business directory. It is the whole directory, 451 listings, read from the live site in a browser on 6 August 2026 rather than fetched, because the host refuses automated clients. Acceptance of the downtown gift card is a field on each listing, taken from the DDA’s merchant list read the same day: 115 of these businesses take it.
- 262 sorted listings
- The directory publishes a category for most listings and leaves the rest blank. Those blanks were sorted into the DDA’s own existing categories by matching each listing’s published description against that taxonomy, and every one carries a field recording that its category was assigned rather than published. No new category was invented, and no listing was moved out of a category the DDA had already given it.
- 78 documents
- DDA and BID board agendas and minutes, meeting schedules, grant guidelines, and the annual report infographic, captured from the DDA’s own document library.
Not Included
- No staff or board names appear anywhere here. The captured team page is archive-dated, and putting someone’s name and title on a demonstration site without re-verifying it is not a risk worth taking with their reputation.
- No map, no pins, no walking distances, and no travel times. The catalogue gives street numbers and no geometry, and inventing coordinates for a downtown the reader knows by heart would be worse than a plain ordered list.
- No generated imagery stands in for a real sculpture. A generated picture of a named artwork at a named street number would be a fabricated record.
