Home Without You
This artwork was crafted after letting go of what I perceived my art to be. I had to relax and let my hands play and place my forms. What came out of that was a manifestation of what home has meant to me over my life. At the bottom is home for me now: solid, four walls with windows to look out of. Just above it, my home when I lived with my grandfather. A solid plane, but whimsical and starting to feel less real. Above it, home as a child. The connections are solid and all of the pieces are there and yet they seem to start to float away. Joy is one of three CMU students selected for this year’s exhibit.
