Self-funded since 1969

CHFA was created by the Connecticut Legislature in 1969 to expand affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families. It has helped more than 150,000 Connecticut households become homeowners and financed more than 60,000 affordable rental homes. Combined mortgage financing exceeds $11 billion.
