Case study overview
The problem
Very small governments get sold websites built for much larger ones, then cannot fill them. Empty sections and stale placeholder pages make a village look less competent than it is, and the handful of things residents genuinely need — a form, who the trustees are, what the ordinance says — end up buried inside scaffolding built for content that will never exist.
The approach
The site is deliberately small: forms, a trustee directory, and an ordinance archive, in a calmer flow with nothing built that the village would have to keep filling. That restraint is the design decision rather than a limitation, and it is what keeps a small village's site looking maintained a year later. An accessibility audit accompanies it.
