A plain-language privacy notice

Information Stoa collects

• Messages and inquiries: your name, email address, organization, and the details you send through the contact form or by email.
• Client records: contact information, project correspondence, approvals, files, account details, and the information needed to provide and bill for services.
• Website activity: basic page-use, browser, device, and performance information collected by Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.

Stripe collects and processes payment information for subscriptions and invoices. Stoa does not receive your full card or bank-account number.

How Stoa uses it

• Reply to questions and decide whether a project is a good fit.
• Provide, support, secure, and bill for the services you request.
• Keep required tax, accounting, contract, and business records.
• Understand whether this site works well and improve it.
• Prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

When information is shared

Stoa shares information only with service providers that help run the business, including Stripe for billing, Vercel for website hosting and performance data, and Resend for contact-form email. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms and security commitments.

Information may also be shared with professional advisers, when required by law, to protect people or systems, or as part of a business transfer. Stoa does not sell or rent personal information.

How long information is kept

Inquiries are kept as long as reasonably useful for follow-up. Client and transaction records are kept for the service relationship and afterward as needed for support, legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified when practical.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information Stoa has about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion when Stoa is not required to keep it. You can also opt out of nonessential follow-up email at any time. Send requests to stephen@stoa.works.

Security

Stoa uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for the information it holds and limits access to people and providers that need it. No internet service can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive credentials through the public contact form.

Children

Stoa's website and services are for organizations and adults acting on their behalf. They are not directed to children under 13, and Stoa does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this site.
