Home of the World's Largest Ball of Twine on US 24, a museum in the state's first Woman's Club building, Lakeside Park's nine holes, and the Twine-a-thon every August.

The place

Cawker City's twine ball began in 1953 when farmer Frank Stoeber started rolling the twine saved from years of feeding hay. Visitors are handed pre-weighed twine to add; the ball's weight is kept honest.
