Asherville
One of the oldest settlements in the valley, with a working grain elevator, river bottom ground, and a Heritage Alliance kiosk at the north edge of town.
The place
John Rees kept a grocery at the Asherville townsite as early as 1867. In 2000 the township still counted 122 people; today the commerce is a modern grain elevator and acres of Solomon River bottom ground.
