Who Needs One

Anyone who needs regular access inside the Air Operations Area, or unescorted access of any kind, must have an airport photo ID badge.

A SIDA badge requires a TSA Security Threat Assessment and an FBI criminal history check, which means fingerprints. An AOA badge requires only the TSA Security Threat Assessment, with no fingerprints.
