City of West Des Moines

Report a Problem

Potholes, streetlights, signs, sidewalks, and property concerns.

Report it

Non-emergency service requests go to the City's SeeClickFix queue, where they are routed to the responsible division and tracked to closure. You get a reference number and can follow it there.

Report a Problem

Streets and Sidewalks

Potholes, damaged curbs, snow and ice concerns, and sidewalk defects are handled by Public Services.

Streetlights and Signs

A dark streetlight, a missing sign, or a signal timing problem. Include the nearest address or pole number.

Drainage and Storm Water

A blocked intake, standing water, or debris in a storm drain. Public Services clears intakes and maintains the storm sewer, and anything poured or swept into a drain reaches the river untreated.

A close-up photograph of a metal storm drain intake on a concrete curb. A large red 'prohibited' circle with a slash is superimposed over a blue hose discharging water directly into the drain, illustrating that emptying pool or spa water into the storm sewer system is not allowed.
Pool and spa water goes to the sanitary sewer, not to a street intake.
