The West Des Moines Fire Department (WDMFD) is committed to protecting the lives, property, and environment of our community. We provide emergency response, fire prevention, public education, and life safety services for residents and visitors. Our goal is to help keep the community safe through professional service and strong community partnerships. The department is a nationally recognized emergency service.
