Hello, Today I contacted Grayson to renew the STR permit and learned that STR permits are filed annually and must be renewed at least 30 days in advance. This was my first notice of this requirement. While I own the Corporate Entity listed on the application, I am the primary individual responsible for the day-to-day management and regulatory compliance of the property. I did not receive notice of the ordinance amendments or the approved STR permit that I paid for and, therefore, did not have the opportunity to timely respond or take the required actions. Both my email and phone numbers are on the application. Given the lack of direct notice to the individual actively managing the property, we respectfully request that this be considered a procedural deficiency and that the matter be waived or granted retroactive relief. We are eager to promptly cure any issue, pay the now annual fee, and move the application forward without further delay. Thank you for your continued review and consideration. I look forward to your final determination. Best regards, Donna Agnew 847-644-3413

Hi Jamie, Could you please forward the following below to Council, Ryan and Grayson? Thank you! ______________________________________________________________ Dear City Council Members, City Manager, and Director of Zoning, Thank you for taking the time to listen to us and thoughtfully consider our amendment. We truly appreciate your openness, professionalism, discussion, and the effort each of you put into understanding our perspective. We are especially grateful for the grace and amnesty that will be extended. That consideration means a great deal to us, and we do not take it lightly. Your approach demonstrated fairness and a genuine willingness to work collaboratively with residents and owners. Please know that we are more than willing to assist moving forward. If helpful, we would be glad to volunteer our time to share insights, experiences, and practical feedback related to short-term rentals, with the goal of helping develop clear, efficient, and streamlined procedures. We would welcome the opportunity to contribute in any way that supports thoughtful and workable solutions for the community. Thank you again for your time, leadership, and consideration. With sincere appreciation,

David + Chad 1
