Parks & recreation
Riverview and Henderson Parks share the same bluff over the Mississippi, with a river overlook and telescope, a children's playground, and pavilions. Around town: Lincoln Park, Sunset Park (home to Colorfest), Veteran's Memorial Park, Wallace Memorial Park, the riverfront, and the Pocket Park at 4th & Georgia.

Louisiana Public Library
Built of Louisiana limestone and opened to the public in January 1905, the library is the only Romanesque building in the city and among the first ten Carnegie libraries built in Missouri. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
