Laura Lukes - President (7/22, 3rd Term) - Board Elected
Laura Lukes moved to Chico in 1987 and was thrilled to find KZFR on her radio dial a few years later. When she retired, she began exploring ways to contribute to her community. She has served on the boards of the ARC of Butte County, Butte County Master Gardeners, Ridge Quilters Guild, and, over twenty years ago, KZFR. She loves the bounty and wonder of the North State and tries to direct her energies toward building a healthy, resilient, loving society.

David Fuhs - Vice President & Secretary (7/24, 2nd Term) - Programmer Elected
David was born in the Midwest and spent several years in New England, where he was a DJ on his college radio station. He moved to Chico in 1990 to attend graduate school and never left. A retired IT professional, David bicycles daily and goes to as many concerts as he can. His other interests include computer security, artificial intelligence, writing and literature, art, basketball, swimming, and diving. He is also an Aikido sandan and an ambitious poker tournament player. Host of “Five Mile and then Some” (Thursdays at 6 AM) on KZFR for many years. Member of the Program and News committees.

Paul Blackwood - Treasurer - (7/23, 2ndTerm) - Board Elected
Paul moved to Chico from San Luis Obispo in August of 2018 to attend Chico State. Paul graduated from Chico State in December of 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. Professionally Paul works as a California State Licensed Employee Health & Benefits Insurance Broker, consulting with a multitude of different organizations. In addition to working in insurance Paul satisfies his never ending excitement for music and live performance as the contracted lead Production Technician at our very own El Rey Theater found in Downtown Chico.

Eric Johnson (7/23, 2nd Term) - Board Elected
Eric escaped from the Bay Area to Chico in 2006. He grew up listening to community radio, where he could hear diverse opinions on important issues along with live shows from the vibrant BA music scene. After retiring from his work as an environmental consultant, Eric now spends his time managing a small farm in Durham and a house on the coast with his better half Kim and their dog Rocket. Eric regularly volunteers to work at live music events, and is a member of a technical advisory committee that advises on drought-related issues.

Julie Kennedy (10/23, 2nd Term) - Board Elected
Born and raised in Chico, Julie also lived for many years in Seattle, WA, and in Healdsburg, CA. When Chico beckoned her back home, the first thing she looked for was Community Radio. KZFR did not disappoint and she became an ardent fan. She volunteers with 530 Food Rescue and with the Center for Spiritual Living. She is honored to serve on the Board of KZFR and excited to be a part of growing its impact and service to the Chico community and beyond.

Josh Indar (7/24, 2nd Term) - Programmer Elected
Josh is a former journalist, current educational administrator and lifetime rock n’ roller. He came to Chico from the East Bay Area some twenty-odd years ago and has been nothing but trouble ever since. A fixture on the local live music scene and supporter of community art projects, Josh now works to provide educational opportunities for unhoused students and foster youth, as well as serving as a member of Butte County’s Continuum of Care. He believes radio is magic and is proud of the KZFR community and grateful for its supportive listeners.

Emmanuelle Sainte (7/24, 2nd Term) - Board Elected
Emmannuelle Sainte came to Butte County via New Mexico, where she was student volunteers and avid listener of KUNM radio. Originally landing in Yuba County and while working in Marysville, Emmannuelle knew she needed to move to Butte County when she first heard Sanjay dj'ing reggae music on his KZFR show "Devastation Sounds." She is active in her community through, among other things, the co-founder of nonprofit GameAmp P.L.A.Y. She loves reggae music, the Rastafari community, and KZFR.

Bryan Bickley (7/26, 1st Term) - Board Elected
My wife Cheryl and I have been in the Chico area for over forty years. We discovered KZFR back in 1992. The programming offered by the Zephyr made it clear that this was 'our' station. The music, news and commentary made us "feel' at home. With a profound dedication to the community, I truly feel honored to be part of the station.

Hoppie Campos (7/26, 1st Term) - Board Elected
Hi, I'm Hoppie Campos. First and foremost, I'm a husband to the most wonderful woman in the world, and a proud dad. My family keeps me grounded, keeps me laughing, and occasionally reminds me that I don't know quite as much as I think I do.
I've been fortunate to spend my career working with young people, building community partnerships, and helping connect people with resources that make a difference. I genuinely believe that when good people come together with a shared purpose, amazing things can happen. My job has given me the opportunity to work alongside some incredible people, and I still get excited about finding new ways to help kids and families succeed.
I'm a big believer in relationships, showing up for people, and not taking myself too seriously. Whether I'm leading a meeting, mentoring a young person, or brainstorming the next community project, I try to bring a little humor, a lot of heart, and the mindset that there's almost always a solution if we're willing to work together.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me spending time with my family, cheering on the people around me, or trying to convince everyone that my terrible sense of humor is actually pretty funny.
