Library Board

Five community trustees set policy for Jefferson County Library and hire the director who runs it, all in meetings open to the public.

Who serves

The Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees is the library’s governing body, established under Missouri statute alongside the library’s own by-laws. Trustees are appointed by the Jefferson County Executive with the approval of the Jefferson County Council (Mo. Statute 182.050), and each must live within either the Fox–Windsor or Northwest sub-district.

Meetings

The Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 4:00pm, unless a holiday or other event moves the date. The location rotates among the district’s three branches; contact the library for the next meeting’s time and place.
