By train
The Danbury Branch runs 23.9 miles up from Norwalk and stops at 8 stations, Bethel among them. Many weekday trains continue down the New Haven Line to Stamford and Grand Central, so the trip can be made without changing at South Norwalk.
By car
Interstate 84 passes through Bethel, and the town sits at the meeting of four others: Redding to the south, Danbury to the west, Brookfield to the north, and Newtown to the east
Greenwood Avenue itself runs 1.5 mi end to end, about 30 minutes on foot. Park once and the walking part of a day here is short.
By bus
Housatonic Area Regional Transit runs the local bus service through Bethel. Routes, fares and timetables are the operator's to publish, so this site links rather than restates them.

Bethel covers 16.9 square miles, 16.8 of them land, and had a population of 18,584 at the 2010 census. Bethel High School serves the town, and the public library sits on Greenwood Avenue at 189 in an 1842 house.
Schools, taxes, permits, transfer stations, voting and everything else about living here are the Town's to publish and keep current. This site points at them rather than keeping a second copy that would drift.
