How the Data Was Gathered
Records were collected from public sources that permit automated access, one request at a time, with an identifying user agent. Every host’s robots.txt was read before anything else on it, and a refusal ended that source: several of Bethel’s busiest calendars ask automated clients to stay out, so their dates are not here except where the Town republishes them. The Town’s own website publishes the same policy, and this site links to bethel-ct.gov rather than reading it automatically.
Walking distances are computed from the OpenStreetMap centerline of Greenwood Avenue at a stated pace of about 3 miles an hour.
