How to get to the Wheeler, when the box office is staffed, and what the building is like once you’re inside.
Getting here and parking
320 E Hyman Ave, Aspen, CO, United StatesAt the corner of Hyman and Mill Street. Downtown Aspen is walkable, and Roaring Fork Transit Authority buses are free throughout Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. The Wheeler is two blocks from the Rubey Park Bus Terminal.
Two ADA parking spaces are reserved on E. Hyman Avenue: one directly in front of the Wheeler, and one directly across the street. A vehicle displaying a handicapped permit may use either space, or any other legal space, handicapped or not.

Doors, arrival, and late seating
Have your ticket ready, on your phone or printed, when you arrive, and allow time to reach your seat before the show starts. Your ticket shows whether you have reserved or general admission seating.
Staff and volunteers greet you when you arrive and help you find your way. Everyone, regardless of age, needs a ticket and needs to be able to sit quietly through the performance.
Performances aim to start on time, as a courtesy to the performers and the rest of the audience. Silence your phone once you’re inside.
If you arrive after a performance has started, ushers and the Front of House team will do what they can to get you to your seat. Some performances allow late seating and some do not; when it is allowed, you may have to wait for a break between songs, or until intermission.
The Vault
The Vault is the Wheeler’s bar and lobby, on the second floor. It has beer, wine, and small snacks; whether it is open depends on the event.
Outside food and drink are not allowed in the theater.
The Vault has self-service coat check. The Wheeler is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.
Floors, stairs, and restrooms
The building is four stories. Not every floor has an elevator stop, and not every floor has a restroom, so it helps to know both before you buy.
- First floor: box office lobby
- Street level, where you enter. Restrooms here are gender-neutral and accessible.
- Second floor: The Vault
- The bar and lobby. Restrooms here are separate for women and men, and accessible.
- Third floor: Orchestra
- Reached by two flights of carpeted stairs from street level, or by elevator. No restrooms on this floor.
- Fourth floor: Balcony
- Reached by three flights of carpeted stairs (the third flight is somewhat tight and steep), or by elevator to the Orchestra level plus one more flight. Once you are in the Balcony, getting to your row means about two steps down, with handrails, for each row. No restrooms on this floor.
Accessibility in brief
The Orchestra level has wheelchair spaces and companion seating, plus transfer seats with retractable armrests if you would rather move from your wheelchair into a theater seat.
The Balcony is not wheelchair accessible. The building is historic, and its last flight of stairs has no elevator alternative.
The theater has a hearing loop that works with or without a hearing aid. If your hearing aid has a telecoil, turn it on before the show; if not, ask Front of House staff for a loop receiver. The Vault does not have a hearing loop.

Good to know before you go
Buy directly
Only tickets bought directly through AspenShowTix.com are guaranteed. Tickets from resellers or other third-party sites may not be honored.
What you can bring
Leave bags, parcels, and luggage at home. Small personal items that fit under your seat, like a handbag or a collapsible umbrella, are fine.
Children at the Wheeler
Children over five are welcome at age-appropriate shows; use your judgment for younger kids. Every person in the theater, of any age, needs their own ticket and needs to be able to sit quietly through the performance.
Photos and recording
Photography and recording policies vary by show and can change from one performance to the next, so check with an usher when you arrive. As a rule, film, photography, and recording are not permitted. The Wheeler may photograph events for its own promotional use.
Smoking
Colorado law prohibits smoking and vaping inside public buildings, and within 15 feet of one.
Lost and found
Ask an usher, stop by the box office, or call 970-920-5770. Lost and found is not always available during or right after a show.
