About the Show
Demetri Martin, standup comedian, writer, and director, brings his distinct, thoughtful humor to the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen. Known for blending sharp wit with inventive visual elements, Martin has earned international acclaim, including the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for If I and Australia’s Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for Dr. Earnest Parrot Presents Demetri Martin.
Martin has released three standup albums and four hour-long specials, including his recent Netflix special, The Overthinker. He created and starred in Important Things with Demetri Martin for Comedy Central, and his books This Is a Book and Point Your Face at This are New York Times bestsellers. His latest work, If It’s Not Funny It’s Art, showcases his original drawings. His feature film Dean received the Founder’s Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival. His fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, Esquire, and The New York Times Magazine. Demetri has brown hair and he is allergic to peanuts.
