About the Show
Northern Ireland–born singer-songwriter Foy Vance unveils The Wake, his seventh studio album and the culmination of a decades-long creative journey. Produced by Brit Award–winner Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Ray LaMontagne), the record fuses folk, soul, and Southern blues as it reflects on loss, fatherhood, time, and hard-won acceptance. Vance’s gravel-edged voice and intimate storytelling draw on a life shaped by his preacher father and years spent between the American South and the Scottish Highlands. Onstage, The Wake unfolds as a vivid, human-scale songbook that honors the past while standing firmly in the present.
