1Shared mission: every child learns to read

    Reading is taught, not caught

The science of reading, put to work.

The Reading League helps educators turn decades of evidence into everyday classroom practice, so the next page a child decodes is one more step toward fluency and confidence.

    46 chapters, one standard

    Find your state chapter

The Reading League's chapter network reaches educators in 46 states. The redesign gives every chapter a governed, accessible page template, so the brand and WCAG 2.2 AA hold whether you open the chapter in Syracuse or Sacramento.

And the chapter finder itself is built to be operated entirely by keyboard and screen reader, fixing the most common accessibility gap in a state-map widget.

    Goal 5: stronger giving

Every child deserves to learn to read.

Your gift puts evidence-aligned instruction in more classrooms and more hands. Follow a clear path from story to impact to support.

    See your impact & give

    • $25, a set of decodable texts for a striving reader.
    • $100, professional-learning access for a classroom teacher.
    • $500, chapter support reaching a whole school community.

Note for reviewers. This is an independent concept redesign of thereadingleague.org built by Stoa for the Website Redesign RFP. It is not affiliated with The Reading League. The teal palette, logo, photography, and chapter map are the League’s own, reused in a clearly-labeled demo; every page here is real and runs in your browser, including a synonym-aware resource search over the League’s real resource types, an accessible chapter finder, a governed chapter page template, and a documented accessibility before/after. Resource summaries marked “Sample summary” are representative, not quoted.
