Why share your story?
Stories are powerful. Hearing someone’s story can make people explore a different perspective, connect with an idea, change their perspective, or inspire someone else to share their own experience.
At TechEquity, stories of real people shape our work. We think it’s critical for everyday people to be part of conversations shaping the technologies that impact them the most: where they live (housing) and the conditions under which they work (labor).
By sharing your experience as a worker in the tech industry, or as a renter who has struggled to secure affordable and stable housing because of tech, you help lawmakers and the public understand what change needs to happen.
