As Chief Advocacy Officer at TechEquity, she leads advocacy and strategic campaigns ensuring that California’s tech revolution works for people, not against them. Under her leadership, TechEquity is advancing a People-First AI Agenda—mobilizing advocates, workers, and communities to shape policy that protects rights and expands opportunity in the age of artificial intelligence.

Samantha brings the grit of grassroots organizing to high-stakes tech policy. After twelve years at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) organizing workers and leading political campaigns across the country, she saw how technology was reshaping labor without worker input. Now she’s changing that—building coalitions that put impacted communities at the center of decisions about AI, algorithmic management, and the future of work.

With nearly two decades of fighting for economic justice, Samantha has become an influential voice in California on technology and equity, championing that the people most affected by tech should have the loudest voice in governing it.
