What this funds
Seven sectors, one shared set of services
SOWIB funds training across seven sectors: Healthcare, Transportation, Manufacturing, Hospitality & Tourism, Childcare, Construction, Maritime.
SOWIB’s providers describe their WIOA-funded services as career counseling, job search assistance, workforce preparation, work experience, on-the-job training, occupational skills training, transitional jobs, and support services. Which of these a given provider offers depends on whether it serves adults, dislocated workers or youth.
