For residents, businesses & partners
Real facility imagery anchors the redesign in SPR's work, not generic water-sector photography.
Public event content gets the same search and accessibility treatment as pages and PDFs.
Podcast and project updates become durable, searchable public education content.
By the numbers
Figures reflect SPR's published operating profile. In the redesign, staff would update these numbers in one place and they would change everywhere.
Why we are called Renew
In 2014 the Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant became South Platte Renew to reflect a simple shift in thinking. Every day we capture biogas to generate renewable power on-site, recover nutrients that return to the soil as biosolids, and protect the South Platte River for everyone downstream.
Water arrives
Homes and businesses send wastewater into a regional recovery process.
Treatment cleans
Biological and engineered systems protect the South Platte River.
Energy returns
Biogas supports on-site cogeneration and a lower operating footprint.
Nutrients recycle
Biosolids return useful nutrients to Colorado soil instead of waste streams.
