The Winner
A four-floor, 75,000+ square foot retail outlet at 32 W State St, a downtown Sharon landmark since long before online shopping.
Known for wedding dresses, special-occasion dresses, and formalwear under one very large downtown roof.
History, 2013–2025
WaterFire Sharon (2013-2025)
For 13 seasons, floating braziers lit the Shenango River after dark, drawing thousands downtown each summer.
A nonprofit arts fund of Community Events, LLC, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, not an SCDC or City program.
The 2025 season was its last: 29 events across 13 years, closing with a farewell dinner for volunteers and donors on December 18, 2025. A new, not-yet-named group has since formed to support downtown arts and culture.
