A Façade Improvement Program for Downtown Storefronts

SCDC's stated mission is "to facilitate economic and community development, enhance residential and public space while embracing our distinct cultural and industrial History." That mission breaks into four Transformation Strategies: Safe, Clean & Green; Physical Improvements; Economic Vitality; and Community Engagement.

The Façade Improvement Program sits inside Physical Improvements, a named commitment to help property and business owners invest in the brick storefront blocks of East and West State Street. No public dollar figure or eligibility list is published yet; this page will update the moment SCDC does.

The program sits alongside SCDC's other named partnerships: Penn-Northwest, Mercer County's economic development organization, and LaunchBox, a Penn State-affiliated small-business resource. Together, they make up SCDC's business-support work today.
