ROUGH DRAFT 1 PUBLIC EVENT BOARDS FOR PLANNING COMMISION INPUT

WELCOME! 1

Welcome to the City of Saugatuck’s Master Plan Community Meeting

Notetext not final

Please sign in and give us your thoughts on the future of the City. What will be in the Plan?

What is a Master Plan? » » »

The long-range plan guides growth, preservation, investment, and future land use decision-making in the City. The planning process intends to capture and document the vision of the City’s citizens, stakeholders, and officials. The plan ensures appropriate land use to protect public health and safety and promote the general welfare of City residents, visitors, workers, and business owners.

A general inventory of community assets and needs. Demographic information concerning population, economics, and housing. A summary of public input and involvement. An assessment of land use, housing, natural resources, transportation, and economics. The “Future Land Use Map.” Goals, principles, and action steps.

Why are we here tonight? » » » »
