Harbor Authority Appointments

Notice for vacancy on the Harbor Authority Board was given on November 25th, 2024. The city received and interviewed three applicants. Mayor Anderson is recommending David Ignasiak as member and Chris Raphael as alternate member with both terms ending 2/1/2027. ACT 7 INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT creating the KALAMAZOO LAKE HARBOR AUTHORITY, INC states the following: Section 6.01 Authority Board Composition: The Board of Directors shall, for general purposes, consist of the following Board Members. The appointing authority of each Party shall appoint two (2) members to the Authority Board provided that not more than one (1) of those members is an elected official. The appointing authorities of each Party shall collectively agree on the appointment of one (1) additional member who shall be a person having ownership, residence or business interest in land abutting Lake Kalamazoo. Members of the Authority Board shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing Party for terms established by each Party, but not to exceed four (4) years. Successfully consolidated company financial platforms, project scope to hypercare. Executed three high visibility supply chain projects. PMO IT lead for an audit review with Deloitte.
