Plan a Visit
A Night on Main, Start to Finish
Park once, then let Main Street carry the evening: dinner, a show, and a drink that walks with you.
One Walk, Four Stops
Park
Leave the car in any of the four structures that ring downtown. The first two hours are free Monday through Saturday, and structure parking is free all day Sunday.
Dinner
Main Street and its side blocks hold the district's kitchens, bars, and counters, most of them a block or two apart. Pick a craving and walk to it.
The Show
The Royal Oak Music Theatre marquee has topped the skyline since 1928, and the Baldwin Theatre keeps live theater a short walk away. Check what is on, then time dinner around the curtain.
One More Round
Order a drink to go from a licensed spot and carry it through the marked Social District, open until 10 PM. The cup walks with you, so the night does not have to end at the table.
Getting Here
Downtown Royal Oak is about twelve walkable blocks along Main Street and Washington Avenue, between 11 Mile and Lincoln. Park once in any of the four structures and the rest of your visit is on foot.
