The Shallows That Shape the Chesapeake

By Ashley Goetz

Step inside an immersive feature on the Susquehanna Flats, the Bay's largest expanse of submerged grasses, built the way the redesign would bring Chesapeake Quarterly storytelling directly into Drupal.

Off ArcGIS StoryMaps, into Drupal

Chesapeake Quarterly features are currently laid out in ArcGIS StoryMaps on a separate, aging site. The redesign brings the magazine home: a landing page and issue archive, plus a scroll-through story template, full-bleed images, pull-quotes, maps, and embeds, so future features can be published directly on mdsg.umd.edu. The legacy chesapeakequarterly.net stays linked as an archive.
