National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP)

In their own words

In the wake of World War II, the U.S. Congress enacted laws that continue to stand as a solemn promise to every citizen who steps forward to serve our country in military uniform: if you are injured or become permanently disabled due to your military service, the federal government will care for you and your family for the rest of your life. Since the beginning, the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) has worked to ensure that the government delivers to our nation’s 25 million veterans and active duty personnel the benefits to which they are entitled because of disabilities resulting from their military service to our country.

LAAC has named every Dan Bradley Fellow since 2015 and every Public Interest Bar Fellow for 2026, and none of them were placed here. That is not a refusal: most California legal aid organizations have never been asked, and an organization that has never hosted a fellow can still be the first to hire you.

Is this your organization? Complete this page

This organization has not published whether it hires before the bar. Nothing on this page is inferred, so those questions stay open rather than being answered with a guess.

If you work here, you can fill this in, including whether you hire law graduates before they are licensed, which is the question this whole site exists to answer.
