Legal Services for Children
Has taken a fellow who had not passed the bar
In their own words
Since 1975, it has been LSC’s mission to ensure that all children and youth in San Francisco Bay Area have an opportunity to be raised in a safe environment with equal access to a meaningful education and the services and supports they need to become healthy and productive young adults. LSC pioneered a unique interdisciplinary approach to legal services, employing teams of attorneys and social workers to comprehensively meet the needs of our clients. LSC represents children and youth in cases that include legal guardianship, dependency, school discipline, immigration, emancipation, and restraining order proceedings.

LAAC has named every Dan Bradley Fellow since 2015 and every Public Interest Bar Fellow for 2026, and none of them were placed here. That is not a refusal: most California legal aid organizations have never been asked, and an organization that has never hosted a fellow can still be the first to hire you.
