In their own words

The Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC), formerly Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP), has been serving the San Francisco community since 1977. In January 2012, VLSP and the Bar Association of San Francisco Foundation’s Diversity Educational Programs merged into one 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In March 2013, the resulting entity was renamed the Justice & Diversity Center. JDC advances fairness and equality in San Francisco by providing pro bono legal services to low-income people and educational programs that foster diversity in the legal profession. JDC contains three components: the Pro Bono Legal Services Program, the Homeless Advocacy Project, and the Diversity Educational Program. Within these programs some two-dozen major activities operate.

Gold marks a year that has already run; magenta marks this year, the one still going. A year with no mark is a year LAAC published nothing about this organization, not a year it turned anyone away.
