California civil legal aid organizations
California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation (CRLAF)
In their own words
CRLAF is a statewide, non-profit organization providing legal services and policy advocacy for California’s rural poor. CRLAF focuses on some of the most marginalized communities: the unrepresented, the unorganized, and the undocumented. CRLAF engages in impact litigation, community education and outreach, legislative and administrative advocacy, and public policy leadership on the state and local levels in the areas of labor, housing, education, health, worker safety, pesticides, citizenship, immigration, and environmental justice. CRLAF seeks to bring social justice to rural poor communities throughout California.

Gold marks a year that has already run; magenta marks this year, the one still going. A year with no mark is a year LAAC published nothing about this organization, not a year it turned anyone away.

This organization has not published whether it hires before the bar. Nothing on this page is inferred, so those questions stay open rather than being answered with a guess.
If you work here, you can fill this in, including whether you hire law graduates before they are licensed, which is the question this whole site exists to answer.
