Bette and Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic
In their own words
In 2007, Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law created the Family Protection Clinic to address the unique challenges faced by survivors of domestic violence. Located at the secure Orange County Family Justice Center and underwritten through a generous gift from Bette and Wylie Aitken, the clinic offers free assistance in immigration, human trafficking and protection order matters.

LAAC has named every Dan Bradley Fellow since 2015 and every Public Interest Bar Fellow for 2026, and none of them were placed here. That is not a refusal: most California legal aid organizations have never been asked, and an organization that has never hosted a fellow can still be the first to hire you.
Is this your organization? Complete this page
This organization has not published whether it hires before the bar. Nothing on this page is inferred, so those questions stay open rather than being answered with a guess.
If you work here, you can fill this in, including whether you hire law graduates before they are licensed, which is the question this whole site exists to answer.
