Law and aging
Borchard Fellowship
A two-year route for graduates who want to work on the legal needs of older adults.
The commitment
The Borchard Center on Law & Aging describes a full-time fellowship paying $70,000 a year for two years. A legal-services organization or another nonprofit working in law and aging must host and supervise the project.
Before you apply
- Find a host and develop a law-and-aging project together.
- Prepare a project description, statement of interest, CV and law-school transcript.
- Arrange a supervisor’s support letter and two additional letters.
- Check the sponsor’s U.S. citizenship or legal-residency requirement.
Application Deadline
The sponsor lists October 1, 2026 for the 2027–2029 fellowship. That deadline has passed. Check with the sponsor for later announcements.
