Burn Permit
Free from the State of Michigan. Get it online at michigan.gov/burnpermit using the interactive map.
Garage Sale Permit
Garage sale permits are currently suspended. To ask about a permit, call the Township Clerk at (989) 202-4684.
Marihuana Licensing
The Township licenses under its marihuana ordinances (56A, 56B, 56C, 56D). Applications and scoring are handled by the Township. See the ordinance index below.
Zoning & Land Use
Lake Township is a zoned community. Zoning questions go to the Ordinance Enforcement Officer, Kevin Rose, (989) 202-4736 or see departments.
Short-term rentals are not permitted
Short-term rentals are not permitted in any zoning district within Lake Township under the Township Zoning Ordinance.
